How to install Google+ Hangout Plugin

The Plugin feature within Google(+) Plus is a really fun feature. It lets you video chat with one or multiple people in your Google+ circles. What I like most about Google Plus Hangout, is that it's very easy to use. You can install it and start using it right away.

it wont work, i will see the message with the greencheck which says the installation was a success and when i click, start hangout, it takes me to the install page AGAIN, plz help

Sorry, I don't know why you're experiencing this. I can only suggest that you make sure you are using the most current version of the Google Chrome browser for your hangouts. Also, look over the previous comments/replies for this video and see if any of the suggestions will work for you. good luck!

No. it should work in other common browsers too. However, when it doesn't, I suggest using Chrome b/c it seems to work best in Chrome.

experiencing problems with the Plugin, an error stops me from installing this.

The error message is displayed:

"google update installation failed, with error 0x80070057"

Any ideas?

Looks like others have had this problem too. Here's what the Google support forum has to say: "...try downloading the plugin from google.com/chat/video, you should be able to successfully download. We're aware of a known issue taking place when trying to download the plugin from the Hangout prompts, which should be resolved shortly."

Try going here --> google.com/chat/video and downloading the voice/video plugin. It's essentially the same plugin. Also, if your browser is not Google Chrome, try switching to Chrome. Hope that helps!

I continue having to download it, but it installs a google earth plugin. Can't seem to fix it
