  • I had the pleasure to live within 1000 feet of a large wind turbine in Northern CA for several years. Noise was almost non-existant, ice did not form on the blaces, no wildlife was killed, and no one in the community suffered seizures from watching the spinning blades. Thousands of similar wind turbines have been in use in Europe for many years without any problems. This video is "chicken Little" garbage full of falsehoods!

  • OH COME ON PEOPLE. YOU ARE LIVING IN THE PAST

you will kill more animals running them over in your car. you're more prone to getting cancer driving your Chevy suburban and breathing in the exhaust.

  • couldn't agree more WarOnWind. we need to start base-loading with nuclear at a greater scale. if you support nuclear in Canada go and sign the petition at pick candu(.)ca

  • Nuclear is the only clean option. Wind and solar will not work on our grid because the power they produce fluctuates. It just puts power plants on standby, meaning they still burn fuel, but not provide power.

  • The movie pictures a great grey wind turbine with 4 blades. Most turbines are white, not grey, and have 3 blades, not 4: they are much prettier than the one pictured here.

  • Environmentalists are often manipulated by propagandists published by Big Oil. Hence, "biofuel starves the third world", "wind turbines kill birds", etc.

Wake up--you are being gulled! All alternative energies, including nuclear, are better than burning petroleum or coal.

  • I'm trying to understand why they want to put a tower in the pond. I mean, where is this energy going to? We all get power from National grid so what are we using this stored power for? Plus, if we're not voting for this then our property taxes will rise for a turbine that people never agreed in having. I'm just confused in what the purpose would be in having one?

  • It's amazing how wind-NIMBYs view energy independence as some sort of optional luxury - as if business-as-usual (exporting billions to OPEC, digging up West Virginia, etc.) is somehow a sustainable option. People who expect the lights to go on like magic when they flip the switch should grow up and take responsibility for their own power, instead of trying to dump the problems on someone else. If you don't like the wind turbine in one spot, tell us where you would like it.
