@nognilk AFAIK she doesn't speak Spanish because her parent's don't speak Spanish, but according to some article she's learning the language. It is a good thing to know more than one language, and Spanish is probably the most useful language to learn in the US, I suppose. However, it's not abnormal for a person with some foreign descent not to know the languages of their origin(s). I don't think Diaz speaks Spanish either, btw, but she's a bit ambiguous about it in her interviews.

@mroldnewbie Her father is spanish, her mother is french. If she speaks another language ( I haven't heard her speak spanish or french in public) it tells a lot about her upbringing. Basically, I'm comparing her to other latin american actresses, such as J Lo, C. Diaz, E. Longoria.
