High friends,
first flight of my Turboporter, 3200mm span, 16 kg with 2 liters fuel, powered by a Funsonic TP200 Turboprop. After an hour of unsuccsessful start attetemps and a tel converence with mr. Oertl (builder of the TP), I realised, that the connectors for the start fuel valve and the main fuel valves were mismatched at the ECU, due to my fault! When working to get the turbine running, I unfortunately disconnected the lubrication supply for the gear box. Exactly in the worst moment, (low go around) the gear pin broke and disconnected the prop from the turbine. The turbine ran up to speed normaly, but prop was windmilling only. It took a little bit to realise, so I had to perform an emergency landing quite far away, but still at our field! Was only a minor thing to repair, Mr. Oertl returned the repaired turbine to me within five days. Made several successful flights thereafter with this impressive Model.
Special thanks to Kurt, who recorded this flight.
