Neild1, you have not done your research. You can easily get organic fertilizer or make your own.

Oh my god what you doing using fertiliser??? i thought you guys were organic? If you burn a plastic like your covering sheet is made of then you damage the environment, why not just use a knife to make a hole? hmmm garden fork isnt really organic gardening is it? americanised me thinks

Will the plants get enough rain water with the plastic covering the soil, or do you need to water with the hose? Love your dogs. We have a golden retriever the same color. Great dogs.

yes, the plants get enough water. if you use a hose, you water at the base of the plant. I have soaker hoses under the plastic that are on a timer, they turn on every 3 days. thx, eric.
