I recorded some clips with my friend Eskild, and edited it in Final Cut. I used Color to make it look more like an actionmovie (filmlook). I filmed the sequence with a Canon XH A1, using 25 p and 1080i.

@Andyax I own a PAL version of the camera in New Zealand and mine does 25F. I dont have an option for 25P

I just bought this camera,.when I upload videos to IMovie I lose the quality,...why??? Im using 9-6 pin firewire cable through my macbook pro(2010)..or should I get another program to upload and then transfer those files to Imovie???? THANKXXXX....by the way ..GREAT VID.

It's all about postprod, great job, but 80% of people won't get this finish. Well done mate.

good video, man. i really beleived that it's a film. good editing, but not good color correction. make more naturall colors (less magenta), and 40-70% color bypass

Have you converted the 50i of xha1 in 25p with Final Cut?

I think tons of people will go out and buy this camera and wonder why what they have shot doesnt look like this. You have really done a great job in Final cut . Have u considered doin a tutorial cuz this is one of the best uses of it that I have seen on youtube

@buggerbuns Hehe thanks. Yes, that may be true. I can give a short explanation of what I have done: I have increased the contrast, lowered the brightness, lowered the saturartion, increased the red tones in the highlight, and increased the blue tones in the dark parts. :) Thats about it.

How did you get 25p? The Canon XHA1 only allows for 24f, 30f, and 60i. Please tell me how you got such a fantastic look from a prosumer camera. I would really like to know how you did this. Thanks.

@Doctorb223 The PAL-version of the camera (the one you get in Europe has 25p). I live in Europe, Norway.
