Ducted Fan R\C Space Shuttle Built and flow back in the late 80s. The Model is scratch built from plans I designed and took 2nd Place in Stand off Scale at the Wram Show in White Plains, New York. The power plant was a OS77 with a Byrons fan unit . She was only flow the one time, and now sits as a Hanger Queen. The cargo bay doors and split speed brake rudder both worked off the radio.
Warning******The video recorder was a rental and came with poor batteries. The final flight was not captured by the video camera, however it was by the still cameras. The video only shows the high speed taxi runs that were made to pre flight the plane. I through in a few pixs of some of my other planes...I hope you enjoy!!!!!!!

Thanks! Mine will have 120mm EDF in the center as well. I'll try the pepsi bottle idea.

I dont know what the shape is now, but back then, the top section of a 1 liter pepsi bottle was a near perfect match to the shape of the engine cones. The cones are for looks only, the real thrust tube came out in the middle of all the cone.
