The Skunk is right there. What really brought Steely Dan to the forefront? For me it was the instrumentals and more so the quitarists through out there history. The Skunk and Denny were the best team.

This in response to billmeedog of a year ago...Just remember that Skunk Baxter penned the solos on "My Old School" one of the most original and innovative pieces of guitar playing ever, and probably his great moment of genius. The Dan boys are just brilliant at choosing the right man for the job.The new guys are great too, particularly Wayne Krantz who carries on the SD tradition of never doing the conventional.
