I remember playing through all of these levels long ago when Zeliard first came out. I had to meticulously draw maps of all of the levels on graph paper because it was so hard to keep track of where all of the doors between levels were.

best game music ever. I can still hum tunes from most of the levels (except for Escarcha cavern and the Swamp kingdom)

Dude! You rock!.
I hope you also can test the new game ZeliardFlash on autoexegames wesbite (check google, or youtube). I would really like to hear your opinion.

Firehawk was the last one I believe. I had the 5 pack and they were all amazing games. Zeliard is still my favorite game of all time but I can no longer play it because DOS box wont work on Windows 7, know any others ways to play it by chance?

I remember... I used some word processor I can't remember (wordstar was it?) and opened with it the .exe files, then altered all the dialogues so awfully stupid and then wasn't able to get it back to its original, oh my those were really good old times. I just couldn't sleep until I kill the monster and see how the next level would look like, and so in hell hate the iced world level.

The best game of my childhood (1991?)

I find it rather hilarious that Zeliard was better programmed and had a better battle system compared to Ys.

@saberkitty119 Both Zeliard and Zelda 2 came out in 1987 in Japan. Zeliard came out in 1990 in the US, but Zelda 2 came out in 1988. I don't know about Ys off the top of my head.

Looks like they are porting Zeliard to flash. Search google for ZeliardFlash

@saberkitty119 Can you send (email) me a copy of this game. I used to have it back in the day. I would love to play it again. Last time I played it I was lost in the fire cave...

I loved this game when I was young... I lost it somewhere in the 90''.
Zeliard consumed a lot of my childhood time... IT WAS GREAT
Oh my god, I love you for doing this. Zeliard was my favorite game back when I was 6, and I still play it now.
The music sounds so different though, on what did you play this and how did you acquire it? For me, it was on an old 3.5in disk and I removed it from there to the computer directly.

It was one of five (four?) Sierra games that came together, along with Thexder, Silpheed, and Oil's Well. Used to have computers around that had 5 1/4 floppy drives, so one day I copied the files from the 5 1/4s to 3 1/2s.
If you install the game, rather than just copying it, you'll see an option somewhere to pick a sound card - I think Adlib/Sound Blaster is the one you want.

Installing copies all files necessary to install into the game directory, so you can just move the game directory to somewhere other than the default location (to avoid overwriting) and run install.exe.

Holy Zelda II and Ys III ripoff batman.

Last I checked, Zeliard predates Zelda 2 by a year and Ys III by four.
