This movie on KQED is ridiculously cropped. It is playing on a Hughes Standard Definition (not HD) DirecTV Tivo on a standard 27" television. (Shut up about me buying an HDTV already.)
UPDATE: Apparently this is indeed KQED's problem. They've decided to send a cropped signal for SDTV instead of a properly letterboxed one? Succcck.
C'mon, public TV viewers are smart. They know they're not losing something with those "black bars".
