Mariano Vidal, Cuban classical vocalist, interviewed by Lucio Fernandez host of the TV show "Live On Stage" with a video clip of Mariano singing "Martha Capullito De Rosa" accompanied by pianist Adonis Gonzalez.

Tenor Mariano Vidal was just featured last weekend at the Delaware Valley Opera, concert series "Voices of the Valley" an Evening of Spanish and Latin American Song, along with Soprano Emilie Storrs, pianist Violetta Zabbi, and with special guest, Metropolitan Opera tenor Nico Castel, they perform songs and zarzuela selections from Spain, and Latin and South America.

About Mariano Vidal
Mariano Vidal made his debut with the Delaware Valley Opera in Don Pasquale, and followed with roles such as Camille in The Merry Widow and Prince Karl Franz in The Student Prince. He has also appeared in many concerts and galas with the same Company.

Mariano first studied voice with Maestro Victor Molil, former conductor of the San Carlo Opera House, and with Tonia D'Andrea.

He was the first prize winner of the 1998 Alta Classical Vocal Competition for all voice types. He went on to sing the role of Leandro in La Tabernera del Puerto, a Spanish Zarzuela, with the same Company. He followed with the lead tenor role in the comic El Duo de la Africana.

The Cuban-born tenor rediscovered his own roots after singing the tenor lead in Ernesto Lecuona's Maria La O at Town Hall Theatre in NYC under conductor Pablo Zinger. This lead to an association and friendship with the acclaimed soprano Brenda Feliciano and with fellow Cuban and sax and clarinet legend Paquito D'Rivera, who invited Mariano to sing some Cuban classics at the multi-Grammy award-winning artist's World Festival Orchestra at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC).
