Honestly. I'm genuinely concerned for your safety. From your blogs it looks like you've not even done the full distance x1 of the Etape on the flats/hills of England, and you should have had that in the bag at least 6-8 weeks ago, with x5 or x6 by now.The heat is an outlier of frightening proportions. If its hot it will kill you, and if you are overweight ( and lets face it, you are a bit) and crumping up whopping gradients, its going to hurt...bad. Sort out the HRM and stay below it at all cost
