  • Which 3D modeling software used for these CNC machines ?

  • @cambazct We are using Mastercam X4

  • @cambazct Autocad is to draw the part. Mastercam is to convert a 3d drawing to tool pathing language for the machining operation.

  • I'm interested in investing in a CNC machine. Do you happen to know the average cost of such a machine? I've heard it's quite substantial. Thanks!

  • @Nexis Small CNC Lathe - $175k and about the same for a small CNC Machining Center

  • Whoever programmed this does not have a clue, all the time saved by using high speeds & feeds, is lost through wasted motion. The only time the machine makes money is when it's cutting!!!

  • You are right, this video was taken when first proving out the process/program, this is certainly not the final version.

  • why the hell was this video recommended for me?

  • @graylab2 In all honesty, on an older machine like this, and as small of a part as it is, you would waste almost the same amount of time in rapiding Z away from the part, Rapiding X and Y to position and then Rapiding Z back to the part as it does to just continue in feed to the desired position, the only time you gain a lot in Rapid Feed is when You have a large distance to move, and how do you know if the operator had the feed and rapid Over Ride set to 100 percent to start with?

  • @graverobber35 becouse oil reduce friction - less friction = lower temperature of cutting tool = longer time it stay sharp

  • nice

  • check 4 prices on hass.com & ebay.com 175k u could buy 2 or 3 new one's

  • why is this done dry, wouldn't the cutting tool stay sharp if you used some sort of oil?

  • 123

  • @mapukmapuk check your PM's

  • Mazak <3

  • @kaszubaf WOW WTF $175k, and I wanted to make 1 myself lol, but this steel milling cnc, and I need for copper and aluminium, how much it will cost for cnc that milling copper and aluminium?
