Shirley Preiss was born in Kentucky in 1910 -- a full 10 years before American women gained the right to vote. She first voted in a presidential election in 1932, for FDR. She's voted in every presidential election since, but that's all about to change due to Arizona's draconian voter ID law.

About seven percent of Americans lack the documentation necessary to get a photo ID. These Americans are likely to be minority and low-income voters... Voter ID laws are a solution in search of a problem: Voter impersonation fraud is virtually non-existent, according to an extensive Justice Department investigation.

It's easy to see why partisan interests would want to trim these voters off of the rolls ~ The sudden need for photo ID among voters is a ploy to keep certain people from voting.

Amen! ALL Americans need to feel the way we do. Unfortunately, a majority of people in America are NOT Americans and abuse the system. I agree with getting an ID .. even my parents at the age of 96 and 92 had ID's and that was only 3 yrs. ago. My Grandparents had ID's and they were born in the 1800's!
