  • The Palestinians are left with no other choice except rare desperate retaliatory responses to the constant brutal Isreali occupation.

  • That's the most absurd thing I;'ve ever read Chorni. Isreal's brutal actions are planned and calculated, not done out of desperation. Even a child can see that Israel is the occupier, not the other way around. Israel has nuclear weapons and has one of the strongest armies in the world (thanks in large part to the $10 billion in military equipment the U.S. supplies Isreal with every year) while the Palestinians don't even have a standing army.

  • The reason why a very, very, very, very, very, very small number of Palestinians has ever committed a suicide bombing is precisely because of the brutal Israeli occupation, subjugation, cutting off of basic supplies like medicine and food, the bulldozing of Palestinians homes, the burning of thier orchards, the construction of the monstrous illegal wall, and of course the very ugly and illegal settlements. How do you not see this yosi? Are you a racist or just extremely in denial???

  • so don't need to mention the desperate Israel actions against Hamas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • How do you discuss solutions without mentioning the problems?

Look, I like positivity too, but being "positive" about genocide is a bit too delusional for my tastes. Okay, you have family in Israel. You need to put aside your private concerns and consider the public good, and the good of future generations.

Killing is violence. Occupation is violence. Embargo is violence.

Israel is state violence. Hamas is gang violence. States versus gangs. Not equal by a long shot.

  • see what you get with these kind of solution ;-)... try to think a little beyond the box and see what you can come up with, i mean it's nice that israel will do all those things but you forgot to mention that there will be no more suicide bombings and no more rockets and no more calls for israel to end it's existence

in anycase you seem to come half short, so enjoy the news!

  • Yosi, I don't need to mention the desperate retaliatory actions against Israel because that's basically the ONLY things that the main stream press repeats over and over. The coverage is extremely biased against the Palestinians...even a child can see this. Israel's actions is like the serial rapist and when the victim (the brutally subjugated Palestinians) can no longer stand the severe oppression, she retaliates in whatever way she can. Hate mongers then blame the victim for fighting back. Sad.

  • Yosi, the solution is obvious. Start with: Israel must immediately 1) pull out of ALL occupied territories (including Lebanon) for good and stop it's offensive attacks 2) see to it that all responsible for the violent occupation and killings (including settlers) stand trial for inhumane treatment and violations of International Law) 3) pay the Palestinians significant amounts of money for reparations and rehabilitation 4) allow EQUAL priveleges for ALL in Israel 5) destroy ALL nukes and WMD's

  • more positive as oppose to constant blame. i'm israeli and living in toronto and i hate the fact that so many people in gaza are duying, i think it's a horrible thing period.. but i can't turn my back on my cousins who have to run down to the basement of the enforced room a few times a day. so i say we don't mention either and again just come with more solutions... more gay(happy) ideas on how to bring every one together with love and not guns.

one love (oh maybe marly can help ;-))

    yosi.
