"Pilot" 2/5. At 3:54 you can see the original Kolchak (Darren McGavin) added in, wearing white.

  • The original Kolchak (Darren McGavin) is at 3:54, on the right, not 8:25 like the description says.

  • Dude, you are so right. I'll change that. I'm numerically dyslexic, but even THAT can't explain my wacky mistake! LOL Thanks!

  • stuart is soooooooooooooooooooo sexy

  • Adding Darren McGavin digitally was a cool touch for the Pilot. And, I believe, a touch of class. Darren McGavin was an AWESOME actor in everything I've seen him in, especially when he played Kolchak (my personal favorite). RIP Mr. McGavin.

  • @Veers31 Maybe the new Kolchak on this new show is the original Kolchak's son of something.

  • She is CUUUUTE

But goddamn what a stupid CSI version of the Night Stalker. No wonder I stopped watching TV. Ask your cheap writers for something 'Original' but be very careful not to do *anything* that actually is original, you stupid TV execs.

  • 6:00-- Gumby!

  • it is so typical of D.O.G.s; so there is a similarity between the 2 cases but without even properly looking into the sitch, they gone n up booked him like that on the spot... its so messed up

  • Nice the dude that plays Karl is Lestat on Queen of the Damned...i was like he looks and sounds like Lestat...lol that was bugging the heck outta me

  • I'm afraid I can't agree about the ridiculous, cringe-worthy "shout out" to the original show. It was a completely pointless bit of special effects showing off that was no doubt lost on people unfamiliar with the old show and only served to further annoy the old fans.

This "remake" was Kolchak in name only and therefore pointless. Even taken on its own terms it was a hackneyed rip off of the X-Files which the audience thankfully realized pretty quickly.

    What a huge missed opportunity.
