Hey roger, old youtube fan here again. Its february, and im itching to catch some smallmouth here on my local river. The air temperatures are in the 50s and sometimes low 60s, the river is a shallow one, a deep hole would be 8-10 feet. where should i be looking to find smallies in these conditions, and will my normal mid spring baits work as well in this early "spring like" weather? Your advice has ALWAYS helped me in the past, so id greatly appreciate your feed back. Thanks.

This time of year if the weather is cold the bass move deep. If the weather is nice they move much more shallow. They are easier to catch shallow. With the two locations they will be near current but not in the seams. They will hang in a lottle slower current. I find smallies on a drop of about 6 to 10 feet of water. I catch them on vertical rock drops right next to shore. I will drop the 3 inch senko right next to the vertical rock and walk down stream with the current as I shake the bait.
