Here I make a simple perimeter alarm using a rat trap, fishing line, black powder percussion caps, and a couplee nails.

Great for use around a camp site and alsoaround a garden to scare the critters away.

I also did a post on my blog on these - http://modernsurvivalonline.com .

  • @sazmil91 you can't? use capgun caps.

  • Holy shit!

  • i can found percussian caps.. any other thing that i can use..

  • you can do the same thing with a shotgun round. empty out the shot to joke, leave it in to be serious.

  • Are those gunpowder caps water proof?

  • you could probably replace the caps with having the nails act as firing pins and firing off some sort of .22 round... slightly more effective/deadly :D

  • Maybe it's loud enough to scare the intruder away, thinking he's been shot at :)

  • very good video thanks

  • what i would do is just put dozens in front of my doors

  • i like all easy to find things
