Broom Scuffle In Bethlehem's Church of the Nativity

Palestinian police wielding batons were forced to enter the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem and break up a scuffle, forming a human cordon between Greek Orthodox and Armenian Priests who went at each other with brooms and stones inside the church during cleaning. The basilica built over the grotto is administered jointly by Roman Catholic, Greek Orthodox and Armenian authorities, Anyone perceived as encroaching on the others' turf can set off violent arguments.12/27/07

this is absolutly unrespectful, if they have any diferences take it outside , not in the holy place.we teach our children to pray in the house of our Lord God , and this is embaresing.shame on them.they are suposed to be humble and quite and loving each other.I am Christian every time I go to a christian church is to meditate and pray for love and peace.. realy don't understand, what do they learn in the monastery? to beat each other in church ?, so then they are not worth being there!

@TheMortalhuman good point. perhaps it's a case of "do as i say, not as i do". in any case, any fool can grow a beard, put on an impressive hat, and claim to love god. if he then proceeds to act like a narrow-minded, violent jerk, his belief is worth exactly zilch. anyone can talk pretty. we all act like assholes at times, but only religion allows one to feel righteous about it.

@kalevraa Actually Jesus himself begun his own turf war inside a temple, using a whip he had made to drive out animals and overturn the tables of the money changers. He would have looked and sounded just as small-minded and violent as these believers fighting over which of them worships God the right way.
