Hi everyone! I really didn't make this video in order to say: rah rah America kicks ass! I'm just a fan of the principals of liberty that Jefferson, Franklin and others stood for back when the Declaration of Independence was written. This video is a tribute to the intellect and bravery of the founders. For those unfamiliar with American history please read on below.
This video begins with vintage pictures of the American colonists' domestic life -- circa 1776. Next, mother country England imposes its tyranical decrees: the *Stamp Act* and the *Tea Tax*. Next, the colonists' violent rebellions in Boston, followed by the writing of the *Declaration of Independence* by John Adams, Thomas Jefferson and Benjamin Franklin. And finally a war against England led by George Washington. The pivotal point of the war was the crossing of the Delaware River at night for a successful sneak attack on the enemy in the early morning. With the help of the French the war is finally won, and so is the Founding Fathers' vision of an independent Constitutional Republic.

This is my favorite video on Youtube, and i like a lot of them a lot. This is the best of the lot. The music is super motivating, and comes from Pirates of the Caribbean: The Medallion Calls. Great music and graphics. Well done Lisa!

King george himself even said that GW was the greatest man of his generation. A tyrant?! What kind of tyrant steps down from power? What kind of tyrant supervises the creation of two of the most influential documents in human history? please, stay in england.

Possibly the biggest reason the patriots won the revolution, from a british point of view, is the fact that the soldiers in the colonies were fighting for liberty, justice and self determination. The british soldiers were fighting for a pay check

Partially....except each side was aided and the Americans won.

The Americans were aided by France and Spain as well as many Indians.

The British were aided mainly by Germany.

Because of this it's not called the British Civil War
