Meet Willie: Kidney Transplant Recipient

After receiving a donated kidney, one of the first things Willie did was organize a fishing trip. He's also been able to spend more time with his grandchildren. Those are just a few things Willie appreciates even more since undergoing a kidney transplant. He also realizes the importance of taking care of his kidney and his health. Willie is very in tune with how his body feels, keeping in constant contact with his transplant team if something doesn't feel quite right. He also has a good relationship with his pharmacist, which helps him stay on top of any changes in his medications. And Willie reminds other recipients to always believe in themselves and never forget that they are an inspiration to others.
