I kindly Request you to note that the selection of these "haunted" songs series are based on the melody and the picturization only [not the lyrics] since I do not know the languages Hindi and Urdu.

The proper Title should be "Songs sung under mysterious circumstance" and to my understanding, all of them are something to do with GHOSTS, REINCARNATION, DREAMS OR some kind of MYSTERY/SUSPENSE/SUPERNATURAL.
In short, beautiful but SCARY!!!

However, I selected 03 songs only on the MELODY as I feel the melody of them are really haunting.
Thank you.
Yuan from Sri Lanka.

Song No. 1 - Lata Mangeshkar - Aaja Re Pardesi - Madhumati [1958]

Song No. 2 - Mohammed Rafi - Hum Kale Hain To Kya Hua - Gumnaam [1965]

Song No. 3 - Asha Bhosle - Main Shayad Tumhare - Yeh Raat Phir Na Aayegi [1966]

"Madhumati" is a 1958 Indian Hindi film directed by Bimal Roy and written by Ritwik Ghatak. Music by Salil Choudhury, lyrics by Shailendra.

The movie stars Dilip Kumar, Vyjayantimala, Pran and Johnny Walker. It was one of the earliest films to deal with reincarnation and had a gothic noir feel to it. The first and only collaboration between Roy and Ghatak, it was one of their most commercially successful and influential films.

Later on Farah Khan and Shah Rukh Khan made a copy, Om Shanti Om, but did not credited this movie, though the story line of the latter is identical to the original.

Awards and nominations; * 1958: Filmfare Awards * Filmfare Best Movie Award * Filmfare Best Director Award for Bimal Roy * Filmfare Best Actress Award for Vyjayanthimala * Filmfare Best Music Director Award for Salil Choudhury * Filmfare Best Supporting Actor Award for Johnny Walker * Filmfare Best Art Direction for Sudhendu Roy * Filmfare Best Female Playback Award for Lata Mangeshkar singing "aa ja re pardesi" * Filmfare Best Editing Award for Hrishikesh Mukherjee

Madhumati went on to become the source of inspiration for many later works dealing with the theme of reincarnation in Indian cinema, Indian television, and perhaps world cinema. It may have been the source of inspiration for the American film The Reincarnation of Peter Proud (1975) and the Hindi film Karz (1980), both of which dealt with reincarnation and have been influential in their respective cultures. Karz in particular was remade several times: as the Kannada film Yuga Purusha (1989), the Tamil film Enakkul Oruvan (1984), and more recently the Bollywood film Karzzzz (2008)........

"Gumnaam" [1965] is an Indian Hindi film directed by Raja Nawathe.
Starring Manoj Kumar, Nanda, Pran, Helen and Mehmood.
Music is by Shankar Jaikishan.
Lyrics by Hasrat Jaipuri................

"Yeh Raat Phir Na Aayegi" [1966] is an Indian Hindi film directed by Brij.
Starring Prithviraj Kapoor, Mumtaz, Sharmila Tagore, Helen and Biswajeet.
Music is by O.P. Nayyar.
Lyrics by S.H. Bihari and Aziz Kashmiri........
