@dailyestate - Maybe you should re-read my post. I never stated that I played with Geo. Strait, I played with Ron Cabel after he left Geo's Ace in the Hole Band. Period! So calling me out as claiming to play when in plain english I stated that "I played in the eighties with Geo's original guitarist Ron Cabel" no way means that I played with Geo. Thanks for taking the time to actually read my post before replying.

Never would I associate George Straight with classic country music like this (apart from his obvious influence heard in his music today) and with country music greats from the 70s, but this is surely genuine and original as guys like Merle Haggard, Buck Owens, and even Waylon Jennings were at this time. It's crazy to hear that classic 70s tone in the music, as well as his young voice.

Thanks for the post! I played in the eighties with George's original guitarist Ron Cabel and it's really great to see these old clips with Ron in the band... Ron had the Ace in the Hole band in San Marcos when Geo. got out of the army and linked up with AITH. Ron is no longer with us and I for one miss him and his playing...
