Archos 101 Connecting to USB Storage

Digital devices like Photo Cameras, Cellphones, Video Cameras, and i guess iPods, all follow the same file system when plugged into a USB.

With the ability to support USB hosting, you can plug in your other devices in lieu of a laptop and process them on an Android with the right apps before emailing.

PS: I just tried plugging in a USB Cased harddrive, it worked.

hey i have a question how do you like the archos 101 tablet, is it worth the buy because i want an android tablet and the only way to get this one in the u.s. is through pre order and i dont wqant to buy it if it is not a good tablet

For me it's a good buy. The most significant feature is the networking. Apps don't need to be coded for networking to be able to access files outside the device. It's integrated into the file system so even the simplest, free apps, can go through your network to access your files. And as you can see here, it allows you to access any data off your other devices without needing to pass through a PC. This is truly a portable multimedia device.
