Naomi Klein: Wall St. Crisis Should Be for Neoliberalism What Fall of Berlin Wall Was for Communism
As the world reels from the financial crisis on Wall Street and the taxpayer-funded $700 billion bailout, we spend the hour with Naomi Klein on the economy, politics and âdisaster capitalism.â The Shock Doctrine author recently spoke at the University of Chicago to oppose the creation of an economic research center named after the Universityâs most famous economist, Milton Friedman. Klein says Friedmanâs economic philosophy championed the kind of deregulation that led to the current crisis. [includes rush transcript]

@JustPray1rst Yeah, what a coincidence. Perhaps a Repuglican administration setting up an economic disaster and leaving the incoming Democratic administration holding the bag? That's more likely, IMHO.

Really, just do a quick research on the history of NWO conspiracy theorizing and it will all of a sudden become to you how silly this stuff is. Also look up it's cousins and ancestors like the Judeo-Bolshevik conspiracy of the Nazis, the Judeo-Masonic conspiracy of Franco, etc and you will also understand how scary it is when this stuff spreads

-- and these conspiracies just never come true, ever. The only thing about them that comes true is when the conspiracy theorists take power and kill everyone like in the 30's, 40's Europe.

My argument was that this type of crazy right-wing conspiracy theorizing has been around for agessss, (the "the Illuminatis secretly run the world and want to destroy Christianity" thing is actually around since the 18th century); are, among other things, the reason why Hitler felt he had to exterminate all Jews and communists (erm, sorry, I mean saving the world from the secret Jewish-bankers-Bolshevik plot to destroy western culture and enslave us all to "globalism"!)

@bitterbonker She provided powerful evidence for the Jewish-bankers-communist-enviornment conspiracy? I must have missed it :\ I really had the impression that her argument was that there was a pattern in recent decades of governments using to dismantle social programs and public services, not to create more!

@PavedStones Funny, Ms. Klein made no mention of any of those things, although she did provide powerful evidence for many of them. Whereas, you have not made any argument whatsoever, you've simply strongly asserted your opinion without providing any basis
