  • I quite like the big fat brass arrangement on Kilimanjaro. But nothing beats the Bunnymen's version.

  • It was the B side to Treason...I've still got the 45 somewhere...

  • Actually this was after the Crucial Three. It was when McCulloch was the singer in A Shallow Madness, who became the Teardrops after he quit to form the Bunnymen. This is a great version, but I agree the Bunnymen Peel Session is still the best.

  • the EATB rendition on the Peel sessions is incomperable!!!!

  • cheers for the pointer, willmac.

  • Yep, Think it was the b-side to treason? Top tune, its on an import copy of kilimajaro.

  • Anyone remember the 'b side' called "Use Me."? That song used to give me goose-bumps!

  • They co-wrote it but if i remember rightly they fell out 'cause of it - on the teardrop explodes version it credits mcculloch/cope but when echo released it as a b side they only credited mcculloch and cope was well p'd off!! i like both versions anyway!

  • Aye him and McCulloch wrote it together during the Crucial Three period.

This is one of the best Books performances I've ever seen! Brilliant!

  • look up the bunnymen they do the same song
