It's not a good thing to have.

It's complex to try to talk about it, but the life I have ain't normal.

Obsessive with things, speech difficulties, and repetative behavior.

  • It is very hard to explain Dysphasia. You have done a wonderful thing here, JD. I live with the same issues and I was diagnosed with Dysphasia when I was 50 years old. I can understand now why my oldest son is Autistic... I never connected the two. I also wasn't understood when I was in school, but it was the 60's and Autism wasn't known.

  • It's better than being Christian Weston Chandler.

  • Time for some controversy!

Social weakness, lack of social skills. Delayed processing of what you're trying to say.

Is this what you,ve been told all your life?

What I'm geting at here, is:

Is this an apparent affliction, projected

by the people with whom you interact. Do they need to label you

"Developmentally Dysphasic" in order to 'understand' you.

Have you unwittingly, come to accept their diagnosis, in the absence of your own explanation?

  • Although (it is evident from your video) there is nothing 'wrong' with your mind.

Would it be true to say that your mind just works in a different way, with more emphasis on

certainty and reliability, rather than speed of action. are your social problems

a result of decisions that you have made in the past (decisions on how you are going to have your mind function). We all know that autism is a spectrum.

a lot of people exhibit traits of autism and are considered without disability.

  • Is this really a disability, or is it just your persnality?

Obsession. Nothing wrong with that, your're aspirational, a perfectionist.

Talking to ones self <nothing wrong with that.

    Agression...That's 'normal'.

Repetitive behavior...Havn't you noticed, Life IS repetitive.

    Or,

Are these social weaknesses something totally underireable

which you have no control over?

  • I don't mean to seem unsympathetic or rude, the reason I ask these questions is because

I too have experienced social problems, and at times have exhibited autistic behaviors, although

It has never been considered or diagnosed that I have such a problem.

You are actually a genius! Don't let people tell you that you're a retard and limit your

    life =D.

  • I don`t know how the development dysphasia amd autisam are conected? they are different conditions..?????

  • i have autism it almost made me non-normal and my Friends say im normal and they said i do things what everybody else does that makes me normal

  • You're not alone. Like you, I've been placed in special education schools, like kindergarten, middle school, and high school, but I went to regular elementary school from first to sixth grade (1984-91). I also went to speech therapy twice a week. In fact, I too get upset or mad whenever I'm busy with something, and someone calls me. Yes, life is tough living with this sort of condition.

  • I can understand what are you going through because I have dysphasia too and it was diagnosed when I was maybe 3 years old. I have understanding difficulties mostly but sometimes speech problems too. It's not easy to live with this disability but I learned to accept it.

    Take care yourself, JD.
