Jack Skille and Jake Dowell have fun at the end of practice - they hit slapshots on Marty Turco; he used them for batting practice. Skille used a few of the shots to practice his shot blocking. They had already been doing this for a couple minutes before I started shooting, so I missed some of the really stellar hits Turco had.

The practices aren't normally this noisy - this is more post-practice than during actual practice. All the other players and the coaches had left the ice; these three were goofing around and having fun, being playful at the end of what had been a relaxed, good-spirited Saturday morning practice. I'm standing just inside the neutral zone, and Turco got a few pucks as far as I was standing before they'd hit the ice.

Filmed Jan 8, 2011 at Johnny's Ice House West, Chicago.

(Video shot with a Droid X. Was a bit surprised how decent both the sound and video quality came out.)

  • @totter2 Yeah I almost got hit by one of the pucks, and you can see I'm standing on the 2nd floor above the 2nd blue line. :)
