This is the mockumentary on Galaxy Quest that aired on E! before the movie came out. It's about the fake show's 20th anniversary and everybody's in character. The quality is kind of sketch but this is crazy rare. Credit goes to britbitsandclips.com.

The writer of Galaxy Quest only thought he made it all up. In truth another alien race visited him and implanted the idea of the show in his head. It was an attempt to jump start our space program so we would travel out to the stars and trade with other planets. They were getting tired of waiting for McDonald's franchises at the outer rim of the Galaxy.

I think that's what the sequel was going to be about.

haha, dude, alan rickman can sell ANY line. from comedy to serious gravitas with seemingly the greatest of ease - i just saw the terrible, terrible "robin hood: prince of thieves" and he was literally - LITERALLY the only thing good in it. give that man an oscar.

Quest is a movie about the actors after the "show" ended. It's basically a parody of Star Trek and this was a fake documentary about its "20th Anniversary"
