  • hey man great video but i cant understand the timing part,is not supuost that the higher the rpms the more advanced the timing?why you say 3 timings for boost or i didnt hear well.

  • @serchmarc When the engine is under boost, you'll want to retard the timing. Take a look at a stock ECU program from a Z31 turbo and you'll see how the timing gets lowered in the areas where the engine will be in boost

  • @NYCZ31 so basically you are saying that when the engine is in WOT the turbo is loading the engine with boost the timing have to be closer to zero?thats interesting i didnt know that

  • @serchmarc Go on Wikipedia and read the entry for "Ignition Timing," it'll give you a good overview. Read the Nistune beginner's guide too, especially where it talks about editing the timing maps

  • bro! where i can buy the cable to conect the laptop to the ECU? Im from Costa Rica.. so I need a web page! to buy it!

  • @yuyize send an email to enquiries at nistune dot com and they can tell what you need and where to get it

  • alright...

  • @JanoRS13 Email nistune themselves, some ECUs have boost control tables, others don't, their forums are very informative and Pete and Matt are very helpful people, I'm sure they will be able to assist you.

  • hi man, great video, very useful, I see that the interface is quite similar to the one in romraider (open source for tuning subarus), so i would be a fairly easy transition, now my question is: in romraider there are target boost and wastegate duty cycle tables, I noticed that your demo did not include boost setup, I'm guessing because the turbo does not have any kind of boost solenoid and it's only setup externally (manual or avcr) . Does Nistune support any kind of boost level input?

  • would that work for B13s?

  • im a computer guy, dont know anything about cars.. guess i better learn.

  • hey, can i turbo the 89 na engine and use nistune with its stock ecu?? post new vids man i want to see more of ur car..!!

  • great videos bro, where in austrlia did you get it from? you have a link??

  • hey man great video,, just wondering if you know of a program for Toyota's

  • @NYCZ31 whoa whoa, more air(boost) which means more fuel...you are running high 10:1s for a/f ratio under boost. well if you are running more fuel your ignition lead needs to be more advanced to burn all the fuel. also, with more fuel your burn is cooler which means you can run more advanced timing which generally = more power because of a more efficient burn. You look like you have been doing this and have ur car tuned so Im not saying your wrong, but if I am wrong please explain.
