I absolutely love this song, although I do not know the meaning or intent behind this powerfully beautiful tune. I do know how it makes me feel, what imagery comes to my mind. I think of africa, I think of the people of that ancient land, I feel the pain and suffering of her people. I feel the hope when the rythyms riase and falls, I sense the change and the growth of a land that has for to long been forgotten. This music is a magical and powerful means of transmiting love, One love, one people.

Today I pick up a memory of your performance in DC when I was in with my Ba's family. It's great....! Bring me back rare occasions of being joyful in the U.S

An amazing sound, especially in light of the fact that the instrument has nyl;on strings.

My only problem with the video is that five people are mentioned as part of the ensemble in the description but only two of them are shown throughout the entire video. Othan that, I thought it was amazing. I have Mamadou Diabate's "Heritage" album and love it. Getting to actually see him play was awesome. Thank you.
