What's killing our children is the myth of the "gun free zone." If gun-free zones worked the secret service would walk around with "No guns allowed" signs and the President would be safe. We use AR-15s to protect our President; our children deserve nothing less.

No ban ever enacted by this government has ever worked. Drugs are banned but any high school student can show you where to get them. Ms. Kelly's naive policies will only get more people killed.

A federal ban with the existing local ban of some of these measures could make a difference. Prohibition in one area just means that it is profitable for criminals from another area or criminals willing to travel to come in and exploit the market. The real problem is lack of opportunity, poverty and our existing drug prohibition which created a black market that fuels gangs. A much tougher issue to deal with. Robin Kelly is a good candidate
