Trans-racial adoption nightmare - scenario for failure

Problems of trans-racial adoption. This is NO-WIN situation.

Raising your own kids is tough. Raising adopted kids is harder. And raising kids of a different color or different nationality is much harder.

If they grow up to resent you for adopting, loving and raising them - that would really stink and sadly, that is what often happens.

Spare yourself the heartache.

This video is for naïve, would-be do-gooders who desperately need a reality check.

@bananapuffs1 - Actually, there are very few white BABIES available for adoption. White kids from 2 up is another story. The three white couples we know who adopted went outside the USA to Russia, China and Guatemala. Of those, only the infant from Russia has worked out well. The child is now 12. The adoptive parents made a conscious decision to adopt a baby who looked like them. That seems to help.

We have a shortage of white babies in the US to the point where couples are adopting black or biracial children. Older kids of any color often have a history of behavioral problems while some are found to have birth defects or congenital diseases. Agencies should try harder to find black couples to adopt black children.

it has nothing to do with their race but it has to do with how the kids was grown up. i am glad i wasn't adopted by white people

This whole thing looks so weird and unnatural.

Most of these kids will come to resent being raised by people of a race other than their own. I agree with the black woman at 1:28 who says that children deserve to be with their own kind.

Whites adopt black kids because they want attention just like douchebags Madonna and Angelina Joile Voight. Kind of like buying the current popular toy or gadget.

I identify with this...I'm half indian and brought up in a white family. ( How do you place mixed race kids? So difficult!) But I always felt, and I WAS different to everyone else in the family and community. I had no exposure at all to Indian culture, which may have helped me. However, my parents were given no advice or guidelines so were basically left to it!.
