The Door County Folk Festival presents a Free Concert at Baileys Harbor Town Hall on the Friday afternoon of the Festival. On Friday, July 6, 2007, Balkan Cabaret (Seattle, WA www.balkancabaret.com) provided the live music, singing and entertainment for an afternoon concert for the Baileys Harbor Senior Citizens Program.

Balkan Cabaret is Joe Finn (violin and clarinet); Michael Lawson (accordion and vocals); Steve Ramsey (guitar, tambura, bugarija and vocals); Mary Sherhart (vocals); Rich Thomas (bass and vocals), with guest John Morovich (prim, brac and vocals). Dancing by Mary Garvin (St Paul, MN) and Paul Wagner (Eau Claire, WI)

The Door County Folk Festival (DCFF) is one of the most fun-filled, enjoyable and recreational and educational dance weekends held in the Midwest. Each year, the DCFF attracts hundreds of participants to Door County, Wisconsin, from all around the U.S., Canada and often other countries. The Festival begins on the Wednesday following Independence Day and continues through Sunday. The Festival continues a tradition of enjoyable, extended July weekends where you can dance (as late into the night as you wish), sing, play, learn, share experiences, eat, party and make new friends in a congenial, relaxed, community atmosphere. The Festival also offers a Teacher Continuing Education Program. Participants are a multi-ethnic, multi-generational community of people who enjoy the dances and music of many countries and ethnic groups from around the world.
