Very impressive. I found this in a search for resources to learn this song. I am going to work towards playing this awesome style. Only, the tabs I find for the song give it in Open C6 tuning contrary to the Open D discussed here...what gives - simply two ways to play it? Thanks, I enjoyed it.

@terrastudios Also, I never knew that Johnny Cash ever covered this song. I couldn't find anything of the sort on youtube. If you have a recording of it, I'd love to hear it.

@workwithnature E becomes a D and the A string a G and the top E becomes a D on most guitars you will have to adjust the B string a little as the neck tension changes it to be slightly out
That is called open G

@gtbmike11 thanx heaps for the feedback years of practice and unfortunately I stopped my live performances as the money is no longer there for live music. Poker Machines are entertainment now its a sad old state of affairs here in the land down under.
