  • @DisturbinglyAmazing thanks =)

  • @palmisano Niice, OK well thanks for the info.

I will start buying parts for the $50 robot with my next paycheck :)

    Awesome web site btw!

  • @DisturbinglyAmazing When I'm in the US, its a side thing. When I'm on my half-year vacations in Thailand, its my career =P

  • @palmisano Thanks for the info, yea it looks like thats the best approach for my goal.

Another question, hope it is not too personal again but; is this like your side, or second job? Or do you consider this to be your career?

  • @DisturbinglyAmazing I recommend taking electrical engineering and mechanical engineering classes to fill your electives. And if you're forced to take non-technical electives, do psychology (it'll help with AI).

  • @palmisano Oh ok I see.

Yea today I talked to one of the deans at my school's CompSci department and told him about my interest in robotics, he said to go talk to him at his office tomorrow so we can discuss more about it.

I guess what I should do is continue to work towards my CompSci degree and just practice robotics on the side. I'll definitely be using you website as a guide

  • @DisturbinglyAmazing Nah, you don't need a degree to do robotics. Everyone is self-taught. Although related degrees do help!

I do whatever I feel like, work when I feel like, for who I feel like =P

    (complicated answer)

  • @palmisano I am a first year CompSci major but have always been interested in robotics(used to play around with Lego Mindstorms back in Middle School).

In order to go into the robotics field would I have to like double major with Mechanical Engineering or something? I love both aspects of robotics; the building AND programming so I would love to make a career out of it.

Also, what is it exactly that you do?(if you dont mind me asking) Like who do you work for?
