This is absolutely horrible!
As a transgender child I felt very alone even in a co-ed class. I can't imagine the pain or mockery I'd face if I'd been forced into a class with a sex, whom I didn't identify with.
On the other hand I always dreamt about being all-girls schooled. I have benefitted from women's only courses and will actually transfer to a women's only RN class by next semestre.
The thing is I'd have seen myself in a horribly different setting if my family had chosen SSE.

Men and women need one another ... if I was in an ALL girls school I would go CRAZY ! Do you REALLY want to live in an ALL male world ?
Same sex schools/classrooms/hospitals IS Gender APARTHEID ... have you ever been to Saudi Arabia ? Gender segregation is a nightmare
And you know what ? They have a LOT of gays there because of this ! Higher than the worldwide 2 % ( around 15 % in those areas )

I am currently attending a single sex school and trust me it's a lot better with just all girls. The boys are just horrible.

no that's not how it works. it would be great if you could just interact with the ppl you like and forget about everyone else but that's just not possible. if you have a part time job you'll end up dealing with ppl you wouldn't other wise and same sex schools have cliques too so you'll be dealing with a pretty diverse group even if everyone is the same sex.

but you won't know how they ALL work, you will only interact with the people like you, you wont know how to deal witht he preps/jocks/cheerleaders/punks/rednecks, and so forth
