Darwin my Fischer's Lovebird

Just a video of Darwin hanging out while I watch Family Guy :)
Darwin is a female Fischer's lovebird a little over 2 years old. She can be really sweet sometimes, but she can also deliver a nasty bite when she's startled or defending her territory. She NEVER sits still, and off-camera she's even more active.

I had two Fischer's but they were parent-raised so they never let me hold them. Never again am I getting a parent-raised lovebird - they bite HARD!

yeah hand-raised birds do tend to make better pets

although parent-raised ones can become tame if they are handled regularly by people while still in the nest

Darwin is more than cute.

i never had a parrot but in the videos they seem intelligent and emotionally responsive. in contrast chickens are reptile-like in personality :)
