Please subscribe, vote and comment! Baby is mostly nibbling at the breast. Compression is being used to get the baby to drink more. Another "asymmetric" latch is shown. Note that after re-latching the baby drinks better than before, and compression is not necessary to get the baby to drink.

breasting feeding is great for baby and mother benifits to because mothers uterus muscles get used juring feedings those muscles get pulled up as the baby feeds those muscles are in use to help in the process of milk making you can actually feel those muscles being pulled upwards while breast feeeding

This is great and helps so much. Lately though I notice my baby will slip off and end up just on the nipple which is so painful. Any suggestions?

Actually this is usually caused by the mother relaxing her hold. It's not like the baby can just grab the breast and pull themselves back in close. This is why it is important to be in a good, comfortable, VERY well supported position. If you are sitting up, like in the video, then you can roll up a receiving blanket and push this up under the baby's back/your arm for some extra support. Just be sure the blanket doesn't come up above the shoulder blades as that will often interfere with the head

You can do the same thing if you are lying down. Just roll up a receiving blanket (like a log) and prop it in behind the baby's back so baby is nice and tight into you. Just please remember to let the baby have their head. They will often pull their head back a bit when you have a let down (thereby fast flow) so they can keep up, then they will bring their head in closer as it slows down.

I often think of it as similar to preforming CPR. The baby needs their head slightly tilted back, this is why the chin is squished into the breast but the nose is clear. However this has more to do with the baby being properly positioned on the nipple then it does with flow down the throat.
