Flight Simulator X Cathay Pacific Airlines A330-300 landing at Kai Tak Intl.

My first attempt of landing Cathay Pacific A330-300 (100th aircraft special paint) at Kai Tak Intl. (VHHX)

Scenery from Fly Tampa was used for the airport and the city.

Not my best landing, the approach was not very nicely stabilized(I have no idea how to use the IGS...So I had to manually fly all the way in, I was trying to line up with the lights in the beginning, then i just give up on that and tried to stabilize my approach..lol).

I have to record twice for the tower and wing views since FSX crashed on me right after I finished with my VC view....So that's why you don't see the bouncing on the first one, but you see on the second one.

I had trouble stabilizing the aircraft after that big turn, so that's why it bounced a bit on the second time...(Not sure if you are allowed to land in the threshold area of the runway?)

However luckily the vertical speed for touch down was still acceptable( -200ft/min ish, check VC view) . The second time was at about 400 after the bounce, but the first touch down was actually in the 150s

For some reason my first attempt is actually better than my second time lol...

Maybe i should use more rudder instead of aileron inputs...I guess the amount of rudder i used was not enough lol

u get to control the planes in here? liek can u fly it as in press arrow keys or w/e to move it? and also how do u get the Cathay...eva...china..etc. plane brands to fly? thanks

of course you do, or else what's the point...

and you control it by using joystick

all those airlines are just livery you can get for the plane model

whats a joystick? isn't this for pc? how do u get a joystick for it or sumthin...and also what u mean by "livery" airlines that u can get from plane model? and is this Flight Simulator X Acceleration or Gold Edition? sorry for askin so much but i really like this game

you can google joysticks..and joysticks are designed for PC, it's not a game pad...

this FSX with SP2, without acceleration. I really don't know how i can explain livery better...they are paint jobs of the plane. you will see what i mean when you actually got the game...

and some plane models like the one i'm using is payware, so they do not come with FSX itself.

and where can i get the game? do i buy joystik seperate?

SP2= server pack 2..you can download that from Microsoft official site

you can get it in any local electronic shop..like Best buy etc..

and yes you do have to buy joystick separate if you want to use it. You may play with keyboard and mouse if you wish, however it will be nearly impossible to fly the plane. Joystick is normally 30-60 dollars, 90 if you want a good one.

The10diamonds land it by yourself . It's hard to land in that airport. By the way nice landing but not a good airport.

just some friendly recommendations:

1. A lot less flaps so you can flare at the end

2. Follow the flashing guiding lights for the approach.

Other than that, nice landing for your first landing there!
