Come hear about one of the most fascinating new developments in computers and the Internet -- Mashups. A Mashup is simply a web-based application that combines content from different sources. Mashups are all over the Internet, ranging from maps of hotels frequented by Paris or J-Lo to maps showing the wi-fi cafes in your area. The question is: Can Mashups have important business applications? A young company, Serena Software, thinks so.
More than just a toy, Serena believes that Mashups have business potential for both large and small companies. Mashups allow the users to develop and build applications without the need for an IT department. This means, for larger companies, that users can get the tools they need quickly. For smaller companies, Mashups offer a ready way of developing needed applications in hours, not months, at a fraction of the cost.
Sound too good to be true? Join Scott Mitchell from Serena Software and his colleague John Summit from Peak Consulting as they share with us Serena's strategy for betting their business on Mashups, and why they believe Mashups will become a critical strategy for rapidly developing applications for competitive advantage.

My name is Serena and when I read Serena believes Mashups have business potential I was like, "I do?" LOL Brief mental shutdown.

Would you believe that the word mashup is not spoken a single time in the video titled "what you should know about mashups"... The word appears roughly three hundred times in the video description and is not spoken oce in the video. Nice job!
