the exhaust snorkel should be easy with a one way valve..but the induction would have 2 isuues 1. how to keep the valve open during heavy weather without leaks, 2. how it works?..im thinking a bfloating ball which at rest opens the tube and when afloat closes it?

He say that on the this first dive he forget to open the air-intake in to the diesel engine, " so the engine sucked all air in the sub, then the engine stoped" :)
This man isa hero in my book.
No test dive in shallow water first here!
He could have drowned!
