Richard Bahner, convicted pedophile, knew Jacob Wetterling

Richard Bahner is the brother of Michael Bahner. He was convicted of molesting a child in 1995, along with his brother Michael. Michael served no time since he testified against his brother. Local law enforcement ruled them out in connection to the Wetterling abduction, even after Michael states he was there.

@brainwashedmasses The complaint pictured in this video is Wright County, filed on 04/03/1995 charging 1st degree CSC on a child (CAA). This was 5 years after the Wetterling abduction. Prior to that Richard Bahner Jr. was convicted on 9/6/1988 of two counts CSC in Stearns County where he got 15 years of Supervised Release. His brother Mike was also convicted in the 95 Wright County case and got 25 years of SR for that one. Richard Bahner Sr is also a SO with a conviction in 1985 for CSC 1/3

There's always hope of getting the guy to secretly admit it to someone appearing as sick as he is. Who cares, he'll meet his maker w/in 20 yrs. If he lived in my neighborhood I'de do something about it. Remind me to never move to that town.

If the police believed every single tip they get they would be tangled in a web of lies going in different directions. Many people give the police false tips by either lying or really believing something because they are either delusional or very misguided. That's not just a few people either. The police had 1000s of tips on this case leading nowhere. It's a sick thing, but it's not uncommon. People lie. The cops follow up on tips but if they find no evidence there's nothing they can do.

@godsfiddler That is true, but there are many extenuating circumstances that are involved with this case that when put together like a puzzle, make a very interesting and condemning look at the stearns sheriffs dept., St. John's Abbey and Jacobs parents as well.

Some of the people who "helped" look for Jacob in the days after his abduction were sex offenders. Quite a few lived in the area. I wish this family could get some closure. They need to know what really happened.

@kfresh1313 They may have investigated this. Remember, they investigated hundreds of thousands of leads.

There are known cases where convicts will talk about them doing crimes they never did. Take Jon Benet Ramsey. Remember a few years ago some guy named Mark confessed, only he had no connection? It was to save his butt from serving time in a Thai prison. So this Bahner guy may be full of it as well.

They may have only had to register for a certain amount of years. In my state if they are marked as predators they have to register for life and the ones that arent only have to register for 10 years.

I can't seem to find any information about these people that doesn't originate here...
