Forrestal (Salvatore Basile) is arriving in Bethesada Naval Hospital under the care of PRISE (Mark Peters) and CLEVELAND (George Kasarjian), two medics. He says "I don't expect to leave this place alive" (an actual quote). After being drugged for anxiety he nods off reading "Ode to a Nightingale." His mistress, Pauline Davis (Vielka Kelly), Morton Salt heiress, chairwoman of the Red Cross, and wife to multiple politicos, steals in disguised as a nurse. They reminisce.
