World's most advanced robot Asimo gets Edinburgh Science Festival underway

THE WORLDS most advanced robot has officially launched the Edinburgh Science Festival.

More than 7,500 people flocked to McEwan Hall over the weekend to watch the festivals star attraction, who can walk, run, dance and even play football.

The robot, called Asimo, is the end product of 22 years of research by scientists all over the world, including a team at Edinburgh University.

We should be focusing on understanding how to program in emotions, If that is even possible, such as empathy so that learning robots don't go apeshit and take over the world.

A.I. Is scary shit and no one can predict how it's going to affect the future. Humans ARE NOT nice things. What happens when someone(an idiot) simply hooks up an A.I. robot to the Internet? We have given robots/computers the ability to learn/recognize already. With the ability to pull any info from the Internet, it would be millions if not billions of times more intelligent then any 1 human. And with that info(connected to a physical robot) it could improve itself, multiplying its intelligence infinitely, at an INFINITE rate after that.
