F-22 Raptor Returns to Flight - This is one cool aircraft!!

The F-22 Fleet resumed flight operations today. Recently a implementation plan was developed and approved by Air Combat Command that allowed the F-22 Raptor to resume flight operations after a four month stand down. Included is interviews with the commander of the 302nd Fighter Squadron, the 3rd Maintenance Group, and the 3rd Operations Group. Soundbites: Lt. This is what I mean; mission readiness. The F-22 simply doesn't have it.

And it's sad, it really is.

Would it have been better had they picked the YF-23?

Maybe. I like to think so, but I can only speculate.

What's for sure is that Lockheed need to ditch the F-35 completely and focus on the raptor.

The F-22 radar is so advanced that it could shoot down any other aircraft before it knew it was there. That reason alone makes it better than any Russian, Chinese or North Korean aircraft
