  • I need the songs to this...it's so good.

Great performance by Meryl & Charlie, as well!

  • So proud and happy for them. One thing I love about them is that they're technical and athletic and it doesn't put you to sleep. They're fun to watch. Go USA!

  • so beautiful

  • what's the name of the song at 1:27 ?

  • have they ever done a mistake?

  • good luck in moscow!

  • @Tayannenlg Is that on youtube somewhere? I can't find it.

  • Thank you

  • I think in the Nationals they performed much better

  • Wow, the first lift was such a breeze... it used to be a bit more labored but now it's totally smooth. Very nice!

  • @UnoriginalJess92 oh, I'm sorry, I really should read comments more carefully... and about tangos - I totally agree here, I was harsh on the whole idea of them having a tango FD from the very beginning, but here, at 4CC was the first time I truly enjoyed it and I also think it's emotionally good as well. It still can better, though, of course.

  • over many years, many panels of international judges have differed with you cahmilllex. i'll give more credence to their expertise versus your spite/attempted spin.

what a coincidence that your critique surfaces a few hours after d/w won the four continents title. how predictable you and your ilk are. cowardly, predictable and weak.

  • @UnoriginalJess92 When I said she has a small capacity for movement I meant that she doesn't extend as much from her core as she should. It is evident whenever she has raises her arms or even in their straightline footwork where she tends to stoop forward. Extending from the core helps dancers express their emotions using their body instead of just using facial expressions.

This youtube video from 0.56 explains what I'm trying to say:

  • @Haley452 I said that I could see that this program has improved immensely this season. I know it's emotionally more demanding than what they attempted last year, but I don't feel that they have fully mastered the emotions required for this program yet. I'm not ruling out the possibility that they can- their '10 Worlds FD was their best performance that season, with great emotional intensity. However, this season I'm just a little over tangos so it makes me a harsher judge!

  • @UnoriginalJess92 yes, this program has improved enormously during the season, if you don't see it, well, then maybe you should pay more attention when you watch ice dancing next time. I think their programs this year are much more mature than last year, and this I call improvement. And the tango spark is all there - I really don't know what more you people expect from them, but they really do work hard and it shows.

  • @cahmilllex I don't think you sound like a hater. I don't see a vast improvement from last year, either- maybe because I preferred their programs from last year! That said, this program has improved heaps from the beginning of the year. I just don't feel the tango spark that I think I should.

What do you mean, though, when you say that Meryl has a small capacity of movement? Not being a dancer, I don't quite know what to look for...
