Marklin performs one of his older tracks, Yesterday, in Salem Oregon, August 16 2010
**************STORY BEHIND THE SONG****************

This song is about losing someone you love, in this case it was my father. The song starts with me, at his funeral, on a Sunday afternoon and having to try to Head Back to Monday (start of the week, new life) a changed person, looking at life and seeing things through new eyes, feeling others struggles and pains, trying to live up to the hopes and expectations of those who love me, and falling short, wanting to reach up and touch Yesterday in hopes of reliving my greatest moments, among those who I loved, when I was younger, and life seemed to be simpler. This song is dedicated to my mother, who had to endure my many painful struggles while praying on her knees many a night, and to all the other mother's in this world, like her, who spend their long dark nights, praying that their children, grown up or not, will survive the tests of life and find happiness, safety and success. I love all of you mothers!
