Galaxy Energy is a German based company that develops new products for the solar industry. Tali from buildaroo.com interviews Manfred from Galaxy Energy at the InterSolar Conference 2009 in San Francisco. They manufacture solar modules, mounting systems, and total solar roofs, though they are planning to introduce new products in the future and will have something new at the next solar show. Galaxy Energy's office in Canada works with North and South America as well as Canada in their distribution center. Though Galaxy Energy is new to the market in the U.S. they are confident that they will have a positive impact on the solar market. Roofing systems from Galaxy Energy can be built on existing roofs and can feature either blue modules, black modules, or transparent modules depending on the preference of the home owner. This roofing system is a leak proof system. Galaxy Solar features their new systems, a Total Solar Roof, designed to replace a conventional roof. With this system the home owner doesn't need and rafters, plywood, or shingles. This Total Solar Roof is also leak proof and stronger than a conventional roof. Galaxy Energy also practices sustainability. In Canada the office will soon have a Total Solar Roof and continue to strive for a more sustainable future.
