On 32-bit operating systems, the most RAM the can recognize up to 4GB. As far as 64-bit operating systems go:
Vista Home Basic: 8GB
Vista Home Premium: 16GB
XP Professional x64, Vista Business, Ultimate, and Enterprise: 128GB
Be sure your motherboard can support the amount of RAM you have in your system. (Just because your operating system can support it doesn't mean your hardware will)

Yes, this should speed up video games if you use the right kind of flash drive. The flash drive should be Vista Ready and equal in size to the amount of memory on your computer. In other words, if you have 1GB of memory (RAM), use a 1GB flash drive.
